There has been alarming rise in the phishing incidents in the past month on all major financial institution internet sites.
We have regularly been updating our visitors about these mails.We also thank our readers/visitors to share such incidents with us and taking an active part in combating phishing by making public aware of these mails.
Here is an another email alleged to be sent by Punjab National Bank to its users which has been sent to us by our visitor Mr. Maninder Singh, a techie by profession who runs a successful websites such as www.123oye.com and www.cybersmart.in.
Dear Customer,
It has been brought to our notice that some customers have been
receiving emails claiming to be from Punjab National Bank advising them to
follow a link to what appears to be from Punjab National Bank web site,
where they are prompted to enter their personal Online Banking details.
Punjab National Bank is in no way involved with this email and the web site
does not belong to us.
Punjab National Bank is proud to announce about their new updated
secure system.We updated our new SSL servers to give our customers
a better, fast and secure online banking service.
Due to the recent update of the servers, you are requested to please
update your account info at the following link.
