Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Website Hacked by Paki Hackers
The official website of Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has been reportedly hacked by a group of Pakistani Hackers named “Pakistan Cyber Army”.
It has also been reported that the website has been hacked in response to the Hacking of Pakistan’s Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority’s (ORGA) website by the Indian Hacker sometime back.
Pakistan has recently tightened their Cyber Laws by introducing an ordinance to that effect penalizing an act of hacking with the Capital Punishment.
If. Prosecuted under Indian IT Laws, the accused can be prosecuted under Sec. 66 of Information & Technology Act, 2000 which empowers the prosecuting agencies to investigate the matter even if the accused is not residing within the territory of India. Indian Laws provide for a wide jurisdiction if the crime is committed under provisions of Information Technology Act, 2000.
