		<description>I've always found the attitudes of newspapers to be interesting when it comes to Google News. Google was sued in Europe over this exact same matter and lost. The same could easily happen hear.

But the question, which you illustrate very well, is why would anyone complain about this? Google doesn't display the full articles, drives traffic to the news sites and is only doing with Google News what it has been doing to millions of other Web sites for years.

It's strange to me. But I think a lot of it has to do with the attitudes of "old media". Being a print journalism hat myself, I think that newspapers are just sluggish to see the value in this and want to play with Google as partners, not as a gatekeeper. That's understandable considering the paper's historical position, but the world is changing and the Web could be the boom the newspapers have been looking for, if they are willing to play along.

Think about it, the Web made text popular again. Newspapers should be excited about this. Sadly, they seem to like their old ways a bit better.</description>
