Is your Trademark Opposition Withdrawn or Settled in India? Public Notification by Controller General

The Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks issued a public notice dated November 24, 2011 being CG/F/Public Notice/2011/40 whereby it was observed by the Registrar that in a large number of trade mark opposition matters, the opposition has been either withdrawn by the opponent(s) or settlement has been arrived at between the parties. The said fact of settlement has either been informed to the Registry or the trade mark application(s) has been withdrawn by the applicant(s).

It was requested through this notification by the Controller to the parties concerned to inform the concerned Registry about such facts by email along with documentary proof to enable the Registry to pass appropriate order and finalize the opposition proceedings at the earliest.
